Impressed chef
I've been cooking quite a bit with this set and do recommend them to the casual cook and/or the professional.The major thing I've noticed is the amazing heat distribution of these pans. I cooked at friends house a couple weeks ago on a crappy electric range and the tuna steak we were cooking turned out perfect like I was cooking at home on my gas range.Also a notable achievement is the easy clean up of these pans. The smooth design seemed cosmetic at first but I've been grateful for the rounded interior edges, they've saved me hours of clean up.Great investment! Lifetime warranty is no joke either. Worth the price.

Calphalon Contemporary is as good as All Clad or any other cookware line on the market, and better than most.Great heat distribution and extremely high efficiency. You actually have to learn to cook with less power than what you're used to.Can be used with any cooktop, electric coil, flat electric, gas and induction. (These are downright amazing with induction!)Doesn't scratch or lose its surface like any non-stick will doCan use metal or nylon utensilsNon-stick results if used according to directions.Easy to clean if you use Barkeeper's Friend.Will be the last cookware you'll have to buy.I also got the wok, and am thinking about getting another. Excellent quality at a fair price
It was finally time to get rid of the old cookware now that the kids are out of the house and I didn't have to worry about ruined cookware anymore. My plan was 3 mil copper cookware or All Clad. But after seeing this in the store, feeling the weight and quality and then reading a lot of reviews ... I decided to give it a try. My final price with coupon was $320 at BB&Beyond.First, this cookware is excellent but you have to know how to use it. Put the empty pan on the heat at the temperature that you want to cook at. Wait about 2-3 minutes and then add a little oil or butter (but have your food ready or your butter will burn) and heat for about 20 seconds (butter) to 1 minute (oil). Then add your food. Eggs work excellent this way and just slide off the pan. I have also used chicken broth to cook the egg in (just wanted to see if it would stick) and it did not. So as long as your pan is at the correct temperature and you add some kind of liquid you will be ok.I...

Great cookware!
I absolutely LOVE this set of cookware. I have an induction burner (which I also LOVE), and it can be hard sometimes finding pans that will work. Not only do these work with any stovetop, but they look and feel great. They're very easy to clean, and I haven't had any problems with things really sticking and I don't have to worry about ingesting chemicals from DuPont. While I really only use the same 3-4 pots/pans most of the time, it's nice to have the variety for when you do need something different. The build quality is really solid and like I said, they're so pretty! Was considering the All-Clad, but I think these are just as good and nearly 1/3 the price. Definitely worth it!!

Triply treat
Happy Happy joy joy. I can't say enough good things about this cookware. I have been using the same stainless set, Meyers, for 10 years and thought that I was happy with it until I started using this set from Calphalon. The weight, feel and finish of the cookware is just right. I have been using it daily now for the last 2 weeks and have had no major complaints. The only minor complaint I have is with the metal handles just due to the fact that they do get very hot during use and require the use of a potholder. Silicon handles would have been a nice addition to prevent the heat.

Great Cookware; but 4, not too terrible issues
I would rate this 4.6; reasons to follow:To start off, I spent around 5 months of looking into cookware before I made a decision on these. Some of the "Honorable mentions" would be All Clad, Emeril Ware, Simply Calphalon, Calphalon One, Calphalon NonStick, and the Calphalon Anodized. Great Set!!
I had purchased this set after deciding on a Calphalon Tri-ply set. I had done alot of research on the Triply set but after seeing these in store, I wanted them. I love the brushed look plus they are the same triply performance. The handles on this set are twice as thick and much more comfortable. This set did come with less pieces for more money but since I plan on looking at them for along time. I'd rather spend the extra money and get what I wanted. Upon using my pans for the first time, I almost fell over after hand washing them. They had the horrible "rainbowing" effect so many have mentioned. I had preheated them, let the food rest on the counter 10 mins as suggested, Cooked the food at a med. heat, then let the pans cool down. After seeing what had happened I came online and read some reviews on here and thought "Oh No, What did I buy?". I then went to Calphalon's website and right in the FAQ section it addressed this rainbowing and said to use Barkeeper's Friend (which I didnt...

calphalon contemporary disappointment
I was on my way to purchase a set of All Clad and saw these. The design is gorgeous, the weight is excellent, and Calphalon is an excellent name. I bought the 10 piece set.I had it for only 10 days and found something very distressing. When you stir the food, what do you do with the spoon? You hit it on the edge of the pan to get off any food. I do this routinely without any problems. To my surprise, the Calphalon's edge dented with every hit. I can only imagine what the edges would look like after a year, given that I'd only had them 10 days and the edges were all beat up. Please, don't get the impression that I'm hard on pots, but the softness of the steel was very disconcerting and was bad enough after 10 days for me to return the set. A $500 set of pots shouldn't dent like these did.

Fantastic design mirrored with great results
As a professional chef I run across all sorts of products that are supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread. However, this pan just so happens to be the next best thing, and I picked it up at my local Le Gourmet Chef in Hagerstown, MD.Simply put the ultra smooth non-stick surface is smoother than glass; thus cooking requires little if no oil and clean up is a breeze with a simple rinse and wipe. As long as you stay away from aerosol sprays you will have an enjoyable experience with this cookware or any cookware for that matter. If you must spray in your oil then I suggest you buy an oil mister because spraying from a can simply adds residue that ruins pans and takes away from the flavor of your food after buildup occurs. The best feature for all you home chefs is that this pan is 100% DISHWASHER SAFE! Best nonstick ever
The difference between my old nonstick cookware (Culinary Essentials brand purchased at Costco over 10 years ago) and this Calphalon Unison cookware is like night and day. The food cooks evenly and absolutely does not stick. The pan is weighty without being too heavy and the handles stay cool. The glass lids are also nice. This Unison cookware is one of the few choices that is dishwasher safe and guaranteed for life, a selling point for me. So far,though, I've hand washed it. A few seconds is all it takes to come clean.

Great wok
I have been using this 13" inches wok about a year. It is a great product for the price. If anything sticks after cooking; just pour water in it and boil, let the water cool down then clean it. Some people mightthink is too big(little bit too big for the standard sink) and too heavy. It is a quality product, I think it will last at least 20 years. Unlike nonstick cookware, stainless steel does not react with the food in high temp. It is good for your health. This wok is best use for cooking Asian vegetables. Remeber to use the bamboo turner. I am still looking for the lid.

Good wok
I use this wok on an electric range. I find it works well provided I turn the heat all the way up to high on a big burner. The problem, of course, is electric stoves, not the wok. As far as cooking goes it is great. As long as it is well heated before you start nothing sticks, the bottom heats evenly, and with a little bit of stainless steel polish it stays looking good as new. My one complaint is that a wok really needs a good lid for simmering sauces. This one does not include a lid, and I have not yet found anything that I can use for one.

I think this is like an American Chinese wok, because like one of the reviewer said, it has a small flat bottom. (That's what my parents prefers, because that way it would NOT move around on a stove. Seriously, we brought a bottom ring for out previous Chinese wok, but it still moves around!) So far, this is one of the best wok i seen!Good: VERY easy to Clean, and easy to useGood: The height of the wok is perfect for steaming overnight dish (trust me, my dad even go as far as to measure it out himself before purchasing it at our local Macy's store!)Bad: it's kinda heavy (to me at least, because my parents didn't think so, i guess i just need to practice more on using it!)
