Great little cheap mini-cam unit
I picked this unit after much research, for a home-made robot (class project). Here's the scoop:For the price, it's fantastic!Performance: Our best results, with a fresh battery, camera unit transmitted ~200' of open parking lot AND ~75' of industrial building w/ lots of flouro/wifi etc. with minimal interference. However, signal strength fell off with batt pwr. Unfortunately, we used a variety of 9Vs at various stages of use or I'd have a lifespan for you. Best guesstimate is minimum 30 minutes full strength from fresh batt.We also played around with it indoors, with the AC adapters on both units.Either way, you'll occasionally have to tweak the RX tuner for best reception if the camera is mobile, or the environment changes (body blocking the antenna of the Tx etc.) See that little knob by the Rx unit's antenna? Works pretty good
For the money, this is a great little system. Easy, out of the box setup, nothing to it. Video was surprisingly good. I checked it out on two different TV's. One is an older 36" CRT Panasonic, the other a 32" LCD Sharp. No interference from the interior of the home was detected. (You know, it transmits through walls, ect..) Got this to keep an eye on the teenagers still living at home. Man, they are going to think I have a 6th sense! The audio works great too. Wish I would have bought a larger multi-camera system. In fact I am considering that now for other projects. For under $40 bucks, I don't think you can go wrong. Don't expect Hi Def, but it really is quite good.

Good value for a basic system
I bought this setup for birding. Installation was a breeze. One bit of confusion was the manual which stated the power adapters for the camera and transmitter should not be interchanged and could damage the equipment if hooked up wrong; however, the adapters were identical. I installed everything and had it working in less than 10 minutes. There is some interference as others have pointed out, i.e., occasional lines and jitters, but all in all a very good color picture for the price. I do not see a problem with low light conditions - I have a robin who built a nest under my deck, and was hoping to watch the babies hatch. Today they did within half an hour of my installation of the camera. The camera is tucked up underneath the joists and there is no direct sunlight, yet the picture is clear and bright. This may not hold true for dusk, but for use in normal daylight, I'd highly recommend this system if you're on a tight budget. I couldn't ask for more considering cost/performance...

Really fun!
The quality is surprising for something so cheap.in my opinion, you get better than what you pay for. This doesn't mean you should expect anything close to HD, but its much better than what I expected.The Sound activated mode works well.Basic directions (the directions included are terrible)To turn it on, click and hold for a few seconds until the blue light gets bright then turns off (it is now recording in stealth mode)Press again to save your stealth video and jump to the on state (constant blue light)from here, you can either1. click once to take a picture2. click and hold for 2 seconds to record video in non-stealth mode (click again to save and return to menu)3. click and hold for 4 seconds to turn off (from here you can start again in stealth mode)I still haven't been able to set the correct date and time.One quick note, mine came as a blue base with a yellow tip unlike the product...

I actually received a unit that was defective. Called a number provided by the seller. Received a replacement quickly, company is very good on customer service. The device works as described. I suggest using a Class 10 SDHC card (high speed) for the best recordings. Video looks good, audio is OK. The instructions could be clearer. But there are several videos on YouTube which explain it's use. I'm pleased with the unit.

A stealthy choice for a camera
For 50 bucks, you can go wrong here. It's got 2 modes: video record and picture taking mode. I usually use video record and if I need a picture, a just freeze capture the frame of the video and transform it into a jpg image. It's better than switching back and forth the two modes when you are trying to inconspicuously spy on something.One point to note: this watch camera is battery performance limited - the batteries will run out before you run out of memory space on the 4GB hard disk built inside the watch. I clear out my files every time I record anyway so 4GB is more than enough.I was slightly worried with the flashing light on the FRONT of the watch when it records, but realized it switches into a power-saving mode and switches the light off after 5 seconds. If it were to flash continuously it would have made it obvious it wasn't a normal watch.The image resolution is very high (1600x1200) but the exposure calibration isn't perfect. Do not...

Excellent spy watch
I've gone through serveral spy watches that I've got from ebay already and they've either never worked or stopped working in a few weeks. Thus, I am not spending big money anymore on one. Intsead, I figured I would look for a decent cheap one that will get me through my coursework. This one, which I got for $50 was a great deal. I read the reviews and found that most agreed that this was the best spy watch for the money, but not the best in quality. Furtive solution for spies
I must thank to whoever invented these spy watches. It's a great tool if you need to spy on someone without them knowing. The camera lens is barely visible and this watch camera looks just like a normal casio-like watch although it doesn't have any brands or logos marked on the body.It's affordable at US$50 and works without any faults.To connect to your PC, plug the cable into the USB port of the watch (YES - the watch has a port that's an inch deep!) and the other end to the USB port of your PC. It works just like any plug and play memory cards.The built in battery lasts for an hour or so and unfortunately you can not interchange extra batteries... you have to take it home and recharge it again.Doesn't work too well in the dark but in broad daylight it's a perfect video camera.Even when I'm not in commission I wear this watch anyway. I sometimes forget it's a spy watch.My order was fullfilled by Amazon and got it in 2 days at my doorstep...
