Very good speakers
This is just a great all round speaker. Well made. Very very good highs and nice deep bass. Love them!In order to maximize the efficiency of speakers you must seal the speaker properly. I bought some air conditioning soft foam filter mats and cut it to fit around the speaker edge (I used removable window sealer which feels a lot like playdoh to seal my front ones). I used foam around the edge of the spacers I bought where it meets the door.Doing this completely seals the back of the speaker from the front and increases the bass response 30 times at least, and the increases the efficiency and life of the speaker. Especially on door speakers!! Hope this helps someone!

Excellent affordable speakers
I had to replace broken factory speakers (paper or cardboard material) on my Integra '97, so I went to the shop to listen different speakers for under $100/pair. Polk DB651s were definitely #1, but surprise was this Pioneer that sounded better than Infinity or Sony (again, these are under $100/pair speakers). Polk had a clear, balanced sound from bass to mid to high. These speakers were not as clear but were well balanced.So, I decided to put Polk speakers in front and Pioneer in the rear. Surprisingly, I could not hear much difference while driving, probably due to all the noise you get on the road. TS-G1643R speakers sound 1000x better than cheap factory speakers - I don't know if you can even buy something bad like what they put in the factory.Pros:- Installation was really simple. You need to get a cable adapter "harness" for your car, attach to the speaker on one side and to the car wire adapter on the other side, then put back original screws and that is...

Holy smoke!
I've listened to many speakers in the store. Infinity Kappa, Polk, you name it. None sounded as good as these $45 Pioneers. I think the reason is that all other speakers "expect" you to install a subwoofer too. This pair, however, has a frequency response as low as 30Hz. I replaced the milk-jar-made Subaru factory ones with these and they sound better than I expected using the factory head unit. For $47 or so these speakers are a steal!

Much more than I expected
First of all let me say I bought these at 40$ + shipping. For the "retail" price you can find the Apline unit which is bigger and has a bigger sound or build your own (I did one with the Aura 2" full range speakers that came out very nice). Of course you will need a separate amplifier.Bought this for a friend who is doing a budget 5.1 install in his hyundai accent. Considering the price of other center channel solutions (for which you would need to purchase an auxiliary amplifier AND wiring) it's a great buy. The amplifier included is adequate to fully power the small speakers to realistic vocal levels and was very easy to hook up and had some fair mounting options. You will need a single channel RCA cable for input.Mounting the speaker itself took a bit of re-working the pocked beneth the head unit but with a dremmel, utility knife, and some patience we made it happen. The speakers themselves are angled at about 45 degrees upwards so perhaps designed... Top to learn more

A Useful Compromise Between Size (Space) and Sound Quality; Decent Sound Quality
Note: This unit was also sold as a Clarion at one time (identical unit).I found the CRK5 to be moderate in performance, but quite good in SOME installation situations. For example, those who cannot install a self-enclosed center channel on top of the dashboard may very well take advantage of unused 1/2 DIN stereo spacing in the dash to find a place for this. Otherwise, it might not be of much use to those without a flat area on the dashboard or spare spacing.I say this because (generally) it is optimal to have the center channel high up along with the L & R speakers.The CRK5 audio was ok for its size, but you must realize these are mini-woofers and the sound is best described as ok, but not great. Bass response is about what you'd expect: decent midrange, but lower bass is not possible. Treble/high frequency sounds need adjustment on your equalizer as they weren't that greatThe CRK5 uses tiny speakers found in many miniature speaker... Top to learn more

Great Sound!
As an upgrade from stock, these speakers are amazing: notes in the song come alive, some of which I have never heard before. I still have these running off the factory stereo so I can't comment on bass or power...I have two 12s so bass isn't much of an issue. However, for clear crisp sound these are wonderful. Looking at the stats of the new Premiers (which recently replaced these) they are basically the same speaker. For the price, these would be hard to beat. Top to learn more

WHAT YOU'D EXPECT FROM A 1000 WATT ROCKFORD!
I've owned many Rockford amps and this is no exception to any of them. It's loud as heck you can hear me coming in my car from far away at just a little over half gain! I have 2 12" Infinity Kappa Perfect 4-ohm subs to this amp and the subs can't handle more than a little over half the gain of this amp. It still rocks and you get the Rockford clarity and punch you'd expect from any Rockford amp. I also have the same model amp but 300-1 which handled my Infinity's perfect. Im about to order 2 12" Rockford P3's within the next few days and THAN IT WILL BE ON!! Perfect subs for this brute amp! I'll be ordering the P3's from Amazon.com like I do everything else and than i will post my review about those subwoofers with this amp. I CANT WAIT! Top to learn more

Rockford Fosgate has a history of producing the best. I bought this amp in 2008 for my P3D212's (two 2 ohm voice coil 12" subs) and push 1042 watts @ a 2 ohm load (make sure you know your wiring configurations to know what load you're pushing). This amp is extremely underated, as with all Fosgate's. The birthsheet I got with mine was 1492 @ 1 ohm, 1042 @ 2 ohms, and 834 @ 4 ohms. We're talking RMS here, this amp is a straight beast. Class bd Rockford Fosgate bd topology is a revolutionary patented design, integrating a technology that is more efficient than typical class AB and has lower distortion than class D designs. Punch EQ2 In the early 70's, Jim Fosgate studied the acoustical properties of automobiles. Utilizing a real-time analyzer and pink noise, he would graph out the acoustical characteristics of each car he tested. Jim discovered three problems that were common to all cars: a midbass hump between 100-275Hz, a steep roll-off of high frequencies from 2kHz up to 20kHz, and reduced bass response below 50Hz.
The Punch EQ on-board equalization circuit helps correct for these acoustical deficiencies in the listening environment. When set to Low-Pass(LP) operation, it becomes a variable Bass Boost. When set to High-Pass (HP) operation, it acts as a variable Mid-Bass and Treble Boost. When set to All Pass (AP) operation, both Bass and Treble frequencies are boosted.

Great sound for the rear speakers of my Jeep
I bought the Pioneer TS-A1683R speakers to replace the inoperable rear door premium stock Infinity Gold speakers on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.The way the premium sound system in the Jeep functions is the rear speakers play nothing but highs while the front speakers play the bass and mid-bass. The Pioneer TS-A1683R has great high range that makes the audio from the rear in the Jeep sound superb.I cannot comment on the bass of these speakers because my Jeep's premium sound system does not allow bass to reach them.Note: Although Crutchfield's website says these do not fit into the Jeep, they do. I used and with little modification they fit perfectly.I gave these 5 stars because they work as designed in my Jeep. Top to learn more
