Canon Copier from Amazon
Bought this to replace small Canon office copier that we had for well over a decade and which is no longer made. Today's dedicated copiers are much larger than we need so this was purchased for the sole purpose of being a copier. We have not even hooked it up to a computer so we have none of the difficulties of networking or any of the other functions that you read about. It copies just as advertised and although we miss being able to enlarge copies, we can live with that omission. Have had it for a little over one month, have had no problems and would highly recommend for this purpose.

FANTASTIC COPIER
I was happy with the Canon PC11 copier I purchased in 1993 for $1,000 but it was no longer repairable. I never expected to get a great copier for less than $200. The only negative is that if you leave paper in the copier it sticks out in front so I remove the paper when I am done making copies. Not a big deal everything considered because the Canon D420 Laser Copier makes fantastic copies and I bought it from Amazon at a great price.

Amazing printer for the money
Rarely do I find a product that functions this well for a low price. The toner cartridges are cheap and easy to replace. No problem with the generic ones. I do wish there was an easy, one button scanning option. Maybe there is and I haven't figured it out.

Great inexpensive all-in-one printer
Pretty hard to beat an $80 all-in-one printer, and this Canon does not fall short. Print quality is exceptional for such an inexpensive box. Setup was a little frustrating as you must use the software to setup the printer (ie: there is no way to connect to the wireless router the first time without using a computer and the software).Copying is a breeze- one button and done. The auto-document feeder works well... not perfect but no complaints at this price point.The scanner is great, too. You just press the scan button and the software loads on your computer, automatically saves the files to PDF and you're done. Very cool!I tried fax once. Seemed to work outbound. Biggest "bug" about the fax is that you cannot set the incoming fax to manual. It has two "auto" modes, which invariably pick up the line when you don't want/need it to. So, I had to unplug the phone line from it (since I only have one line). Really wish it had a simple...

I got this printer not as a replacement, but a supplement to the brother laser printer I already have. It also pretty much replaces my old Epson scanner, which is showing signs of aging.PROS: Amazingly easy to set up. I own a Mac, and it's basically plug n play like most Mac compatible products. This printer is suitable for a small home office. It has a simple setup, fast text printing, and good network support with some nifty scanning options, but will take up a lot of space on the desktop and may have some issues with Windows XP machines. The printer comes with two standard size ink cartridges (XL versions are available for re-order), a USB cable, a phone cord, and a sample box of small photo paper. Because I already have a fax printer, I did not look at the fax features.Pro:It has good specifications for this price point. The most cost-effective paper and ink pack for the Selphy CP-series, comes down to about 27 cents per photo right now. The box contains three ink packs, each good for 36 prints, and six 18-photo-paper packs (The CP-760 can only hold 18 photos in its tray). Everything you need to print exactly 108 photos. The paper has Canon written on the back in light gray. The (note the "IP") has postcard back but is harder to find.These dye-sub packs print exactly the number of photos indicated, no more, no less, no matter the color coverage on the photo. one glitch
I have had my Selphy for 2 years now and overall it is a handy printer. However, what people need to know is that every time you turn the unit off and turn it back on, it loads the ink for one picture. That is, you lose that ink and your ink to paper ratio gets off over time. You eventually start running out of ink before you run out of paper. I called Cannon to find out what was happening-that I was accumulating tons of paper but running out of ink. They informed me that the machine does this and I should leave the unit on (print as many photos as possible in one sitting) if I am to not waste ink. Right now I have tons of paper that will probubly never get used because cannon will not sell ink apart from paper. Very Wasteful! FYI
