Perfect tool for a new idea
This annular cutter was used with a drill press to cut evenly spaced holes in standard 2x4 spruce for ballusters in a balcony handrail. This cutter (1 -1/16") cut 340 precision holes with no splinters. The holes gripped standard 3/4" pvc water piping so snugly, no adhesive was needed. The cutter, after use, still had a new appearance with no visible wear. One caveat: The shank is 3/4" and most low cost floor standing drill presses have the 5/8" chuck. An adapter had to be fabricated--not easy, but effective.
