Great bag that holds everything!
I had so much stuff in my huge LowePro Nova 5AW shoulder bag that it hurt my my shoulder and back to carry it around. Saw the Canon 200EG Backpack and based on reviews ordered one. I am impressed. It was about 1/2 the price of my LowePro bag. Its very well designed with lots of compartments, padding, external straps and quality materials. It holds everything that was in my other bag and I still have more room. I've got a Canon 20D with BGE2 battery grip, 3 zoom lenses (one a telephoto), a Canon 580EX flash, a Slik mini tripod, lens hoods for all the lenses, and a large assortment of filters for all the lenses all inside the main compartment. External compartments hold everything else like spare battery packs, chargers, cables, etc. Its got straps on the bottom to carry my tripod which my old bag didn't have. Its got other straps for carrying all kinds of stuff. And I carry bag this much comfortably. The one thing that the LowePro bag had was an all weather cover that could... Top to learn more

good bag can be made better for a few bucks...
This is a good bag for the money. it's not a great bag, but very useable. with a few bucks and a trip to REI, it can be made much better however.first, get yourself a 40 inch long, 1 inch wide webbing lashing strap, with a quick release buckle on the end. should be about 2 bucks. use that to wrap the bag through the lashing anchors on the sides of the bag. this acts as a very good compression strap, and gives you an added measure of security. close the bag with the zippers below the strap, and it's harder for would be thieves to open your bag while you are carrying it. it also allows you to open the top half of the bag, and grab your camera without letting the other contents of the bag fall out. since the top of the backpack is cut inwards, the camera is fairly easy to grab for those quick shots. not as fast as a messenger bag, but better than having to put your bag on the ground to get your camera out.next, get a pack of 1 inch tri glide buckles. use... Versatile backpack for more than cameras
This camera backpack can easily hold 2 full-size DSLR cameras and a few extra lenses, or even some point & shoot cameras all in the same case. A mini tripod will definitely fit inside, not sure about a full-size tripod since I don't own one (if they fold up you may be able to). Whatever you want this case to be for your particular needs, it can morph into it.The main section of the backpack is configured into 9 separate compartments. However these compartments (slightly padded BTW) are fastened with Velcro, so you can configure the interior of the backpack into anything that you would need it for. You can even remove all the compartments if you want and use it as a regular backpack. Inside the "lid" are two separate see-though plastic zippered compartments as well.As far as the exterior of the backpack, each side as two Velcro-closure pockets with flaps, which measure approx. 4.5" by 4" wide. The outside top (lid) has 2 huge zippered pockets, there is...

Perfect price, schoolbag appearance reduces theft attention.
I bought this little bag for my $2500 Nikon D700. With so many bag options out there, one often gravitates toward the expensive bags when the camera is so expensive. But trust me, you don't have to. This bag has a clever design to top load the camera-you'll have to pull the straps through the compartment seam to create enough room for a large body like the D700. It will not have enough room left for the detachable battery pack if you prefer to carry it. Simply detach and store in main compartment when traveling. The main compartment is big enough for my extra 18-50mm wide angle lens with its own zipped sub-compartment. In addition, I routinely carry my charger, extra battery, cleaner, and other gadgets which photographry enthusiasts accumulate over time. I have yet to run out of room. The bag is big enough to carry everything and grow.I picked this bag for 2 reasons: it was the cheapest for its size, and the unrecognizable name brand and design makes it look like a... Great bag at a great price
This bag is really good quality for the price! When I began looking for a backpack to keep all of my digital gear in one place I was shocked at how much manufacturers want for for a dedicated bag of this type. Most were at least double the price of this one. I took a chance on this one and was glad I did! It's the perfect size for me. I really like all of the space and pockets. There is a big zippered pocket on the outside as well as the 2 big zippered pockets inside. ALSO, there are tripod straps on the side of the bag!The camera is protected because it is supended in a type of hammock that accommodates some pretty big lenses. AND it is hard to tip over empty or loaded. It's like a weeble! It wants to sit straight up.I don't carry every piece of gear I own around with me for a day of shooting. If I am out for the day I usually just carry the camera on my shoulder with a light prime lens attached and leave my bag in the car, but if I need to carry... Top to learn more

Middle of the road ..
The bag serves its purpose.Positive side:- Easy to carry the equipment on your back, no back-strain for typical usage with padded straps- Easy to extract the camera from the top pocket- Sufficient pockets to get your stuff in (cellphone, GPS, energy bars, small water bottle .. you get the idea) besides the optical equipments- Long warrantyNegative side:- Main compartment does not have re-organization capability that can provide a snug protection to lenses, so the extra lenses just lie there loose- Sometimes, it requires exercising care to extract the camera from the top pocket. It is not possible to attach the lens-hood and store it - it has to be taken off and stored in the main compartment.- The zippers seem to be little on the weak sideDon't know points:- Is it waterproof?Overall, you have to try it in a store before deciding if it is right for you. It worked for me, and that is good... Top to learn more

great day pack for predictable conditions
I use this with a Nikon D700 (without battery pack), SP 24 flash, 24-70 lens,70-200 lens, Lumiquest flash box with filters, 28mm lens, 50mm lens, spare batteries for flash and camera, and last but not least SD Cards. All this fits nicely except the 70-210, which I strap to the outside using the tripod loops as an anchor point. So lets talk about the feel of this bag and its usability from its intended across the body position. To be candid I found this position both awkward, and cumbersome. I think if you were using this bag with a small point and shoot non-slr type camera it would be fine. But SLR's are larger, heavier and can require some dexterity to be able to change lenses, manipulate controls and at the same time frame shots. I did like the bag as more of a shoulder set up, and found it such a nice size for a day style pack if you know what your walking into and feel comfortable leaving behind your extras. I used this bag for a friends wedding and found... Top to learn more

A nice sling, but lacking in secure storage
Customer Video Review Length:: 6:06 MinsOverall, this is a nice pack as my video details, but it needs better thought put into the pockets and storage to really compete against similar models. Caselogic is making a bid in its recent products to unseat the main players with a similar product at a better price. Unfortunately, with this bag, unless it's priced under $40 it won't accomplish this task.Good for people with a small to moderate amount of equipment to carry on an occasional basis, this sling is a good choice. Those with larger SLR and longer wide aperture lenses will probably have to look elsewhere. While there's many pockets and zippers, they're better suited to holding papers and non-breakable equipment like filters (in a hard case) vs. being the proper size and shape for extra lenses, flash units, etc. Even the lack of memory-card sized pockets is evidence that the designers just seemed to add as many zippers and pockets without really thinking of the specific things... Good For Casual Users
Case Logic sells a few different styles of DSLR camera slings and the TBC-310 is their entry-level, basic sling bag. Like most of their other DSLR bags, it uses their hammock system for secure storage and quick access. I'll go over all the storage compartments, durability, padding, and convenience in this review.PROS:- Comfortable to wear- Lots of unique storage- Light-weight- Tripod strapsCONS:- Some padding deficiencies- Hard to find a place for the sling strapSTORAGEFor a relatively small bag, the TBC-310 has quite a bit of storage. The main camera compartment uses Case Logic's hammock system that allows the camera to be suspended inside. I can easily store my Canon T2i inside with an 18-55mm lens with hood in that hammock, but due to the length of the hood, it doesn't really suspend in the hammock. The hammock can be adjusted to allow another lens to be placed next to it. I can place my 55-250mm lens... Top to learn more

A Decent Bag For The Price!
My girlfriend bought me this camera bag for Christmas. I had checked several stores that offered backpack style camera bags, but couldn't decide on what one I wanted. The stores prices were nowhere near the price listed on Amazon. Based on the reviews of this Nikon bag, I figured that it would work for my needs, and it does. There are several reviews that state the camera will not fit with the 18-200 VR lens... However, I've fit my D80 with 18-200 VR lens and hood in this camera bag just fine. All of the pockets are adjustable, including the top one which holds the body and lens... People who are saying their camera won't fit, obviously didn't mess around with the pockets enough. My bag fits my D80 mounted with the 18-200 VR lens in the "camera section", and my 50mm 1.8 lens, 18-135, 20-40 Tamron lens, SB-600 flash, point-and-shoot Nikon Coolpix 5200 camera, chargers and extra batteries for the D80 and Coolpix, external HD, extra memory cards, filters, etc. in... Not what I expected from Nikon
I was preparing for a trip and wanted to combine my laptop and my D70 in a single bag. I had just ordered a LowePro computrekker AW when I saw this Nikon bag.I figured I would like to have a genuine Nikon bag for all my Nikon gear so I ordered this bag figuring I could return the LowePro.Although the bag is well constructed, lighter and looks great I wasn't impressed at all with the accomodations for my D70. The camera storage is designed for the body with a small lens, maybe the 18 - 70 that came with the kit. With the 18 - 200 mounted the camera just didn't fit in the area provisioned for the camera. The rest of the bag seemed clumsy to access and there wasn't a lot of storage for accessories. In my opinion, the LowePro Computrekker AW is a far superior bag. Although it's a little larger it's worth it's weight in gold. I was disappointed with the functionality of this Nikon bag. Top to learn more
decent for the price
After reading the first review I bought this bag knowing it was not going to compare to the 100-200 models made by other vendors, but it does fill a need for a pack that will hold both a digital slr and laptop. The padding is not terribly thick, especially in the upper pouch meant to hold the camera body and lense, so don't think about drop kicking it or expecting to find working gear after you have dropped it off a ledge or something. However, it does have just enough space for my nikon d200, 2 medium lenses, a speedlight flash, ring flash. extension tubes, small idgital video camera (sony) extra batteries, cables, 15 inch laptop and its power cord. It will never measure up to a dedicated camera backpack but is very handy for airplane travel and non-extreme field photography. Top to learn more

Solid, stylish pack for 6 lens/2 body system and laptop at half the price!
I strongly disagree with reviews that question the VALUE of this item - at around $60 this camera pack tops a competitve list including Lowepro, Kata, Tamrac, Mountainsmith, and Clik. Don't get me wrong - these other brands also offer superb, feature-packed products that are well worth the investment. For my needs (read on) this case offers solid protection, elegant (simple, uncluttered) styling, and all the capacity and features I need - it holds my photo system, a laptop, chargers, cables and other kit, tripod, water bottle, a stuffable windbreaker and a snack- at $40 to $140 or more cheaper than the competition. And yes, it does come with a rain cover!!What it holds:1) In main padded compartment: Panasonic Lumix GH2 w/ 14-140 zoom, GF2 w/20 normal in leather case, eye level finder for GF2, 100-300 zoom, 7-14 zoom, 45 macro, 14 normal, 6 spare batteries, two plug-in battery chargers, Tamrac square filter pouch, Panasonic 360 flash, Minolta spotmeter, plus... Well designed, but is it durable enough?
The Case Logic DCB-309 SLR Camera Backpack is a well designed backpack that is classy looking and has lots of great features that you want in a camera backpack.Pros: Lots of pockets. Not an overwhelming number of pockets, but enough, and where you want them to be. There are flat pockets on the front (and pockets within those), a couple on the sides, and a sleeve for 14-15" laptops (or smaller). There's also one on the rear that holds a rain cover for the pack. Nice inclusion.Well designed main compartment. I was able to fit in, unbelievably, a mid-size SLR with 28-85mm zoom, huge 80-200mm zoom, 90mm macro lens, 50 mm normal lens, 12-24mm zoom, extra batteries, hard drive, case with memory cards, right angle viewfinder, small flash with extra batteries, hoods for all the lenses, and an extra camera binoc style harness. Now, it's a *tight* fit, but it all goes in there. There is lots of padding around the perimeter of the compartment and a plethora of detachable... Top to learn more

Strange feeling about this backpak
Pros:- Stylish and lightweight- Very organized, lots of pockets with zippers, all the stuff can be easily kept in order- Hidden pocket for wallet is very useful for a traveler- Rain protection coverCons:- As it was mentioned before, shoulder straps do not have sufficient padding. After a few hours of walking with the backpack full of stuff, the inconvenience becomes evident. I'm comparing it with the comfort of my NorthFace backpack, which is a lot better in this sense.- Rain protection cover sits well only if the backpack is not on your back, otherwise you need to adjust it frequently, since the construction of shoulder straps prevent the cover to stay on top of the notebook compartment. That's a serious flaw for the backpack.- Hand strap is pretty useless once backpack is full. Lifting the backpack reveals the weakness of the whole construction.- There is no hard bottom, so I decided to use extra divider to protect the... Top to learn more
