No compromises
The more experience a person has, the better he or she knows there are trade offs in most everything. You want it less expensive you give up some features or service. You want it faster you pay a little more. You want it cutting edge you deal with the problems and cost premium of being the 1st to have it. With this printer (Kodak 5250) I have been thoroughly impressed. It is a tremendous value and has made printing much less stressful. Stressful sounds a little funny when speaking of something that should be simple- like printing a document or photo. I mean here we are in 2010. Surely something as simple as printing should be mastered by now. Unfortunately for those who print frequently- you know we're far from that euphoric day. Between printer set up, connecting for network users, ink cost, paper cost, consistent results, handling different paper types and sizes, etc. printing can be a horrible experience to get right. Meets my needs perfectly
In my home network I have 3 pc's (wired) and 2 laptops (wireless) all connected by a Linksys router. Two of the pc's are for my kids who print out stuff for school and work. Before I bought this printer I had an older HP inkjet connected to my primary desktop (mine). Whenever someone needed to print anything my computer had to be turned on first. Rather annoying.Not anymore! This Kodak printer so far has been fantastic. The full size instruction manual (no cheap photocopied sheet of paper) explained the whole process from opening the box to connecting it to your network wirelessly. With step by step illustrations that were easy to follow. Within minutes it was up and running perfectly having automatically detected my network SSID and connecting when I typed in my security passphrase on its built in keypad.What I like:Easy installation. Works great, great quality photos
Colors are very vibrant and display true color. I had to print pictures for a new passport, and rather than driving all over the place, I took my self portrait, put the memory card in the card slot of the printer and printed off the "head shot". Certainly a whole lot cheaper than paying for the passport photos.

Great cartridge, great price, great quality.
The Kodax 10XL is comparable to the Kodak 10B ink Cartridge. One thing to note is that it holds about 70% more ink, but also costs 70% more. You are not saving money by buying this, but according to Kodak, if you would like to replace your ink less, than this is for you. I find a better value in the combo pack, the 10B/10C. But if you print a lot of text/b&w documents, then this is for you.

There's more to ink cartridges than meets the eye.
UPDATE 10/2010 - AMAZON quits selling $17 ink msrp cartridge from kodak and farms it out - check your nearby office supply store for better pricing - msrp on this item is 17 bucks from kodak but the seller right now is charging a premium - if it returns to being sold by amazon like before it should be priced at 17 bucks because kodak is very picky about ink price. REVIEW FOLLOWS NOW.Printer inks are NOT all the same. Yes, they look similar - little black boxes that eventually run dry and you gotta buy another one. But the ink inside can be run of the mill DYE based inks [frequently used on refill kits], or specially engineered PIGMENT inks. If you want the skinny just google (dye vs pigment inks) and there are more opinions, white papers, chem engineer's Ph.D thesis, and best of all - Manufacturer's "BUY ME" pdfs. I own just two FULLY pigment based printers (the Kodak I reviewed for Amazon's vine - their entry level combo scanner / printer) and an HP designjet Z3200ps...

Kodak printer Ink
Order process was good. Everything shipped as promised. This cartridge lasts longer than the original. I haven't used a single cartridge yet. The Kodak printer costs me less per print than the cannon I have. Both work well.

Why didn't I....
I bought the least expensive printer, {I think}, that the company who sells THE MOST, {I am guessing here}, printers of any manufacturer on the market! It was an AWESOME GOOD printer! It lasted for 5 years {I didn't believe it either}! The only problem was the ink cartridges cost as much as my mortgage! For one each of the Black and Color cartridges! So now, I bought the one that THESE cartridges fit and it works every bit as good as my other printer. Yet, as you can plainly see the cartridges are WAY CHEAPER, I mean WAY CHEAPER! What else can I say! {Have I already said WAYYY too much}? I always do!

Fabulous printer we can't live without
My family was lucky enough to get one of these printers to test for a few months. We had to send the test printer back yesterday but I'm putting my own on order today. The print quality and speed are incredible, the printer design is sleek and highly functional and the supplies are cheap compared to the dinky HP deskjet we had been using. I found the Kodak technical support unparalleled, especially compared to HP, and Canon. Kodak even built in a photo help center for photo editing, and printing. I did all 100 Christmas photo cards only with this software, and I used less than one black and one color cartridge. The Wireless function is great; my husband could print from his Windows work laptop and my daughter printed from her Macbook files from her room. We didn't know you could print from an IPOD Touch, but she'll get the free app to print from that. I didn't get paid to write this, but you ought to know what a cool printer it is, (I am not a techie, just a mom)

All in one Printer
I received this product through the Amazon Vines Program. I currently have an HP Officejet 7410 All in one and was looking for something that was a bit smaller. The Kodak ESP 7250 really surprised me with the size and ease of setup! From the time I started opening up the box until I had the unit up and running with my wireless network and software installed on my laptop took a total of 33 minutes. Here are the plus features of the unit:1. Easy to install. The instructions are very straight forward and short. I actually completed most of the setup just by looking at the unit and following the pictures. I only referred to the written instructions PRIOR to powering it up to ensure that I had done verything correctly.2. Wireless networking was simple and works great! For this review I've decided to compare the Kodak ESP 7250 to similarly priced models from Canon, HP and Epson.
