One great comp
All I can say about this little computer is that it is exactly what the description says and more.First, delivery was awesome, prompt, and in perfect condition, and in just the time it was promised.It's a good size, a nice weight, and has LOTS of space to put on lots of stuff. I use it for everything, from work to games to pics, to everything in between, and I couldn't be happier with it.To anyone searching for a comp, if this fits the specs you want, I have had great luck with it so far. Awesome latpop!
We bought this laptop 5 months ago.I purchased this as a shared laptop between myself and my 8 year old daughter.My wife and 13 year old son already have their own laptops.As other users have stated, the first thing you need to do is un-install all the bloatware that comes pre-installed.You can use the Add/Remove Programs function for some of this but better yet - get CCleaner which can help in uninstalling programs and a whole lot more.The Z565 is not a high end laptop by any means, but it is fast and very capable at most evey-day tasks you throw at it.Ours gets used on a daily basis, and we took it with on our last vacation. It's pretty solid.I really like the textured feel of the touchpad for instant feedback.The HDMI out to our TV looks great, but seemed to slow the computer a bit while gaming.I haven't found anything really negative to report about it.It's powerful enough for anything I... The Lenovo Ideapad has been a great computer. I did have to call the tech support line regarding a problem that I had during the setup, but they resolved the matter very quickly, and you actually got to talk to a person!! They even check with me latter to make sure was working well.About a year ago I bought a Gateway laptop for my wife and tried to contact tech support and it was nothing but problems.I really like the keyboard, and the touch pad is easy to navigate. one of a kind
This is a fantastic laptop:1) Fast (Good CPU with 4gb RAM)2) Quiet (has a 'quiet fan' setting plus a 'dirt clean-out' setting - awesome!). Even running the CPU at 75% for an extended period, the laptop doesn't abnormally heat up and stays comfortable on my lap.3) Great screen: The screen is very crisp and the max brightness setting will almost blind you.4) Excellent keyboard: feels nice (good spacing/tactile feel) and is as close to an external k/b as you can get.5) Good touchpad: it has a grain-like finish... an interesting feeling at first, but I like it. BTW, it works quite nicely after going into the Control Panel and making some user adjustments.The speakers aren't high quality external surround-sound, but acceptable for a laptop (if I want quality, I hook up the externals).Bloatware isn't bad, but be prepared to do some removal at some point in time.All in all, one of a kind.
