We have one and love it!
I actually bought this on Ebay, but am about to buy a second one here because it's cheaper on Amazon!This is a fabulous little dolly. It's not really just a luggage cart..everyone has wheeled luggage these days anyway.We use it in our warehouse to haul 70 pound boxes around and it fits into the car easily so that when it's time to drop off a mountain of boxes at the PO or haul home the things I order on Amazon (grin), it's right there.Getting a second one so that we can keep one at home, too.We tried other folding carts and they couldn't handle the weights we were putting on them. This one is great and the price can't be beat.Don't try this at home, kids, but I was able to lift my 175 pound hubby off the floor and wheel him around on it..it's one tough little dolly.Update 3 years later: These carts have seen almost daily usage for nearly 3 years now and are still in perfect condition. I have never had a 'personal'...

Great little hand truck. Will buy again.
I organized all my camping stuffs in several 12-gallon size storage containers. I use this handy truck to transfer those storage containers from car to the tent site. Initiallzy, I was worried if the wheel is too small for outside unpaved roads. But it turns out just fine. The whole construction of this hand truck is solid. Especially, the flat side on the bottom for carrying loads is long enough (not the width) to ensure stable rolling on unpaved roads around camping side. It works great for moving things around. Very good value for this low price. Definitely a good product that I will buy again and I will recommend to my friends.

Nice hand truck
I'm moving across the country in a few weeks so I decided to purchase a relatively small and light hand truck to do the heavy lifting for me. I really like the fold-up convenience of the Magna Cart Elite 2 because it stores easily in a closet or other out-of-the-way location yet seems to have the capability of easily handling heavy boxes.Expanding the hand truck is as easy as pressing the yellow button, sliding the handle all the way up, and then pushing the foot out and down. To collapse the hand truck, just follow these same directions in reverse.This particular hand truck does not come with large pneumatic tires so it may not be particularly well suited for handling stairs. Even so, the tires are large enough that it will make do if you have a small step or two to cross. If you need to cross stairs at an entry way, I recommend using a ramp to make the job a bit easier.

Great hand truck
This hand truck is great. It's handle is a little short for people 5'7" or taller. My wife is 5'5" and she would rate it at 5 stars! It's really compact and light but step on the skid plate and pull up the telescoping handle and it's serious hand truck. Push 1 button, slide the handle down and kick up the skid plate and it will fit behind the seat of a pickup truck.

Light weight and mobile
This handtruck folds up nicely for easy storage and transportation. I am able to move items around without straining and without lifting. My able bodied newphews recently used it to move me into my new house. Now I can move the many boxes and unpack them at the bookshelf, file cabinet or other location.

If original Magna Cart and the Elite 2 had a baby...
The Magna Cart "Ideal" is apparently the next step in the evolution of the original Magna Cart. It seems new as of March 2009. In the meantime, the manufacturer Welcom came out with the "Magna Cart Elite 2". All 3, as of this writing, are available on Amazon, but I expect the Ideal is the replacement of the original Magna Cart, which I expect to become extinct soon.Bolstering that notion is the fact I saw some original Magna Carts in my local Big Lots store (same price as Amazon, but Amazon had free shipping). So, I've now been able to handle both.What I can say is the differences between the original and Ideal are incremental, and not as big as I had thought. Basically, the Ideal is an "Elite 2" model, scaled down to the size of the original Magna Cart. What a great idea. Very Usefull Cart. I keep it in the car all the time
I bought this and the Magna Cart(tm) MCX at the same time. Was tired of carrying stuff. I put both of them in my car. I have used the Magna Cart Flatform hand truck more than the Magna Cart(tm) MCX. Both are great products.The Flatform truck is easy to use. Rolls very smoothly. Folds up very flat. Is sturdy enough to hold the 300 lbs as advertised. It works as advertised. The only negative is that there is no wheel brakes on it. So it will roll away unless the surface is level.I'm going to buy more for Christmas presents this year.

I love this cart!
I have trouble walking and have limited strength due to a disabling illness. I've long dreamed of buying a cart with a big platform for the times that my traditional hand truck isn't appropriate for what I need to move, but never tried to find one. But when I had new rug installed recently, I got motivated to try to find the cart of my dreams. The installers were able to move my furniture -- but only after I'd emptied and moved everything stored in or on top of things. Among other things, I had 6 large bookcases full of books to move. So I knew I had to find a cart to use. Luckily, I found this one, because it works perfectly. I'd been worried about buying the very common, less expensive platform carts because they had tiny wheels that I feared would not move well over the carpet. Also, reviews indicated that wheels had actually broken off those cheaper carts. This cart looked promising because of its big wheels. PLUS, it weighs much less, it easily folds into a very compact...

Simply The Best!
To be quite honest, I purchase a lot of products from Amazon, but rarely take out the time to write a review. However, for this product I must say a few words.No I am not throwing around that 4-star rating effortlessly, however the amount of effort I save by using the Flatform 4 should be recognized. I replaced a set of hand-carts with this hand "truck" and I could not be happier. The construction is superb, it folds down and expands in under 10 seconds and holds a great deal of stuff in place while transporting. It is extremely sturdy (it holds more than 300lbs), although I would not make a habit of it.I would presume that you are interested in purchasing this hand truck because of its unique ability to fold down into such a compact size, and you would be right. Even though it can handle such a great deal of weight, the wheels move freely, it never locks up and then folds down into a compact size which is perfect for travel. GREAT!!!
This is an amazing little cart!! I have used several folding hand trucks through work and my own personal use and this cart is built stronger and efficiently than any I have seen and here is why (I am comparing the Travel Smart to the Magna Carts since the MangaCarts are the most popular brand out there):1.) Small hard rubber wheels....wheels on Magna-carts are large and after a while put a strain on the wheel mountings which causes a wobble after a few months of hard use.2.) Cart is balanced to the rear with the small wheels so it doesn't pitch forward like the MagnaCarts do.3.) Solid steel square tube construction. MagnaCarts are a little lighter than this model but the Travel Smart has a lot beefier steel tubing throughout which can handle loads better.4.) Unit is collapsed by squeezing the top two handles. MagnaCarts have a push button that will lose traction after a while and the cart will remain in whatever position it was locked...

Wow great dolly!
I bought this for myself and 20 month old daughter to help with our luggage. It was a dream!!! I stacked a small suitcase onto a large suitcase and still had room to bungee her car seat on top. It was so secure that she could ride in the seat with ease. I had done some research to find a way to easily move her car seat and the only option I found was $90 so I bought this lil travel dolly instead because it is very similar to the $90 version. I got many comments on how handy it was and how comfortable my daughter looked, kinda like a car seat throne on wheels, and a few who wanted to know where to find such a thing. Also I was able to carry it on without an additional fee and it collapses quite compactly. I highly recomend this luggage dolly and will use it for ever more!

Length Clarified
They are of high quality and keep their tension, not like the bargain ones that quickly get longer and lose their stretch, or the black rubber ones that have a strong but short stretch. These are 40 inches when slack and the package says the maximum stretch length is 60 inches but they will stretch to 70 inches in a pinch.

I used one of these to wrap around a hand cart to hold in photography equipment bags. They are 40" long and that's just right for hand cart usage. It wrapped around once and held everything pretty tight.I'm glad I bought them!

Excellent quality
I have used lots of bungee cords over the years that have varied in quality. Cheap bungee cords tend to be thin, have a single hook, and fray easily--though sometimes none of that matters. However after I purchased the Magna Hand Cart on Amazon to transport boxes in the office and luggage at the airport, I looked for a quality set of bungee cords that I could use, and discovered this product, which works perfectly.Regardless of what you use these bungee cords for, they are first rate. They have a nice thickness, a double hook at each end for a more secure connection, and easily stretch. For the price a set costs on Amazon, they are a bargain. They are much longer than lots of other bungee cords, however, so be sure that you need this extra length; otherwise you should get something else.
