Great price for a sturdy, nice sized kitchen island
We put together our new island last night. Easy assembly, maybe took about 30 minutes start to finish. I should add that my husband assembled it himself, I just watched :) I am impressed with the quality of the piece, very sturdy. The rubber feet keep the piece from sliding all around the kitchen, which is nice. The paint finish is matte, and the wood finish is nicely done. The work surface is not solid butcher block, it's about an inch thick. I think that's what kept the price from being outrageous. Great Butcher Block
A bit time consuming to assemble, but this butcher block is sturdy, heavy duty and looks awesome. I've had mine for 5 months. It gets lots of compliments. I wish it had come with casters, though. We added them so I can roll it around in the kitchen, but it took a bit of effort and money as you need heavy duty casters for this heavy unit. The wooden utensils are a bit cheesy, but the butcher block was a good value for the money.
